Students and families are invited to enter a storybook pumpkin and potato contest. Choose a book you like and decorate a pumpkin or potato to match! Be creative! Please, do not cut or carve your pumpkins and potatoes. Cut and punctured pumpkins rot quickly and will have to go home or be thrown in the trash. To decorate you can use markers, paper, glue or hot glue, paint (acrylic works best), pipe cleaners, fabric & other craft items on the pumpkin or potato. Decorated pumpkins and potatoes can be brought to the library beginning Wednesday, Oct. 29th. All decorated pumpkins and potatoes are due in the library by Tuesday, Nov. 4th by 2:30 pm. to be part of the contest. Parents are invited to come and vote for their favorite pumpkin or potato in the library during the Fall Carnival on Thursday, Nov 6th. Once all the pumpkins and potatoes have been turned in, I will share a vote virtually link on Facebook and Rooms. Students will be able to vote on pumpkins and potatoes with their class. There will be 3 winning pumpkins or potatoes per grade level. Winners will be announced Monday, Nov. 10.
