ATLAS begins tomorrow, April 13th, for K-2nd grade scholars and on Tuesday, April 14th, for 3rd-5th scholars. Our Chicot Cheetahs are ready to show what they know! 🐆📚✨ Please help us by:
making sure scholars get plenty of sleep,
arriving on time (7:40 am) to school,
having scholars eat a nutritious breakfast,
and encourage scholars to do their best when testing.
These efforts ensure a prepared start for testing and truly make a difference. We also ask that early checkouts be avoided on testing days. Students may test throughout the day. Keeping their schedule consistent helps them stay focused and do their best. Let’s work together to support our scholars and help them shine during ATLAS! 💙
Our Service Day was one for the books! 🐆🌱✨From the moment we got started, it was all hands on deck. Staff, students, and volunteers came together to clean up, plant, and bring new life to our campus. Whether it was pulling weeds, laying mulch, planting flowers, or working in the garden beds, everyone played a part in making our school shine. This is what leadership looks like in action. Taking pride in our environment, working together, and giving back to our school community. 💛 We are so grateful for everyone who showed up, worked hard, and made this day so meaningful.

Yesterday, our scholars in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade stepped up to the plate for our 3-5 ATLAS Testing Rally! The energy was high, the excitement was real, and our students are ready to knock this test out of the park! A special shoutout to our very own alumni, Bailey Woods, for coming back to pour into our scholars with words of encouragement and motivation. Your support means everything! For the past 8 years, Ms. Butler has been the heart behind so much of what makes Chicot run the way it does. She leads with strength, care, and consistency, always showing up for our students, staff, and families no matter what the day brings. Her dedication, her presence, and the way she pours into this school every single day truly set her apart. She is not only an incredible leader, but someone who makes Chicot feel like home for so many. She is THE BEST OF THE BEST. We appreciate you more than words can say, Ms. Butler. 💫

We are proud to celebrate our very own Ms. Jessica Sanders for being selected to participate in Cohort 11 of the IMPACT Arkansas Principal Fellows Program through the University of Arkansas! 👏🏽🐆With 17 years in education, including 6 years at Chicot Elementary, Ms. Sanders has made a lasting impact on our school community. She currently serves as a grade level team lead and has spent the past 3 years helping guide and support teachers all across our school. As Chair of our Lighthouse Team, she also plays a key role in building leadership and culture throughout our school. Ms. Sanders truly embodies what it means to lead with purpose. She steps up, supports others, and consistently puts students first while encouraging those around her to grow. We are excited to see her continue to develop as a leader through this opportunity and know her impact will only continue to grow. Congratulations, Ms. Sanders! We are so proud of you! ✨
