Graphic from Little Rock School District titled “Optimizing Our Tomorrow: Budget Conversations – Community Meetings.” The top of the image shows the Little Rock School District logo and name over a blue background with charts and data visuals. The graphic explains that the Fiscal Year 2027 budget priorities include spending only the money the District actually has, adjusting staff levels to match student enrollment, cutting overall spending to address long-term budget gaps, building a healthier savings balance for future financial challenges, and protecting programs, people, and resources that matter most to students and classrooms. The graphic invites all community members, especially parents, students, staff, and families, to participate in discussions about the future of the District and its budget. It emphasizes that community feedback is important and reflects the District’s commitment to transparency and listening. The bottom of the graphic lists two community meeting dates: February seventeenth, evening session at five thirty p.m. at Southwest Community Center; and February nineteenth, evening session at five thirty p.m. at Henderson.

We invite parents, guardians, and family members to participate in our Black History Celebration by sharing and displaying meaningful aspects of Black culture, history, and heritage. Volunteers may bring or create displays that highlight traditions, achievements, art, music, clothing, food, historical figures, or community contributions that reflect the richness and diversity of Black culture. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate identity, honor ancestors, and help students learn through real-life experiences and personal connections. No professional experience is required... just a willingness to share, celebrate, and inspire. Displays can be simple or elaborate and may include posters, artifacts, photographs, books, cultural items, or interactive elements. Your participation helps create a powerful and engaging learning experience for our students as they explore Black history beyond textbooks and into lived culture. Thank you for helping us make this celebration meaningful, educational, and memorable for all. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0F4DAFAF2CAAF58-61604773-black

Good evening, Skyhawks! Our building is currently without chillers due to scheduled maintenance to replace them. Because of the unseasonably high temperatures, our classrooms are very warm. Please encourage your students to dress accordingly and ask for water breaks as needed. Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
